Hello Sweeties! It has been a long time since I’ve been blogging and it feels great to jump back in with some new and exciting things to share! Some of you probably know that I own a blog entitled Simply Baby Food Recipes, but with growing kids it was getting difficult to keep it up, however I published two books with Adam’s Media which includes more than 400 recipes combined!
I will be the first to admit that I tried to build that site into a self-running community, but it just wasn’t going to work because I have other interests that I wanted to blog about too! It was just consuming too much time, and my books have been doing selling like crazy even though I haven’t been on any social media promoting them. I’d rather have one central location where people can find me and my work, and that would be here, my new blog home.
It took me a couple of years and trial and errors to figure out how to combine graphics, cooking, sewing, DIY projects, family and business topics all in one place. I’m a one woman show and I do not have any hired staff, so I do what I can. My new blog idea finally came together while I was eating dinner one day. I would just create a blog about my own creative life and post all my handmade projects, family recipes, and information about my side hustles. I have a good family support system but when it comes to friends, I would say right now my best friends are Photoshop, Illustrator, and my Wacom tablet. I absolutely love digital design. It provides instant gratification because I can make and print whatever I want.
In fact, you can check out my Etsy and Zazzle Store to check out some of my creations. I have a lot of retired items that I will be posting on this site, as well as new things. I’m so excited that I can make things that people can download and use.
Here is more great news. My recipes from SimplyBabyFoodRecipes.net are also here as well! You can find that under the Food and Drinks category to the right, or by clicking on the URL (it is redirected here). I’ve updated a lot of the posts as they were a little dated and needed a nice refresh. I will be posting those recipes as well as samples from my cookbooks on a regular basis so keep checking in!
