Hello!  I’m Tamika, and I’m a hustler.  I’m a wife, a mom, an author of two baby cookbooks, an Etsy and Zazzle store owner, a stationary and surface pattern designer, an Avon beauty consultant, and I work full-time in the health industry.  I have a lot going on but I’m a busy body and love to have a variety of things stirring in the pot.

My professional background is in technical writing and compliance, so work can get super technical and quite boring.  So, when the work day is over I spend any free time that I have making handmade items for my home, designs for my Etsy stores, and abstract canvas paintings.

I’m a self-taught graphics and surface pattern designer.  I like to make my own designs that are one of a kind for my home.
In my teenage years, I can recall using Print Shop Deluxe to create cards and books that I would print and bind myself (remember Print Shop Deluxe?  Wow, I’m old).  I was super obsessed with a computer and a printer, and the skills I have learned have built upon themselves over time.   I read a lot of books, blogs, and I watch a lot of YouTube in order to learn to make the things I want to make.

In 2006, I created a baby food blog entitled Simply Baby Food Recipes to document my journey to create homemade baby food for my then newborn.  The blog became very popular and considered one of the top baby food blogs on the internet.  I had so much fun with it because I loved writing and sharing the things I was cooking up.    One day I received a message with a proposal to write a baby food cookbook from Adams Media.  It was my dream come true!   In 2012, I wrote my first book entitled, “201 Organic Baby Purees“.  Fast forward two years later, another cookbook entitled “201 Organic Baby and Toddler Meals” for the growing toddlers.

I took some time away from the internet to focus on my babies and professional career.   I really enjoy blogging so now I’m back on the scene sharing my favorite things!  Thanks for stopping by!
